Bevel Gear

The conical-shaped gears designed to operate on intersecting axes usually at 90 degrees. The bevel gear teeth may be straight cut or spiral cut. The faces of a set of bevel gears combine to give the finished contact angle. (Example: A 30-degree face mating with a 60-degree face will give a 90-degree angle.)
