Bucket

An individual component on a gas turbine power recovery wheel responsible for extracting energy from the high-temperature, high-pressure gas produced in the combustion section. Various coatings are used to offset the degradation of blades caused by the extremely high temperatures in which they operate, thus prolonging the useful life of the turbine.
