Specific Gravity

The density, mass per unit volume, of a gas divided by the density of dry air, measured at 60°F (16°C) and atmospheric pressure. Gases with a specific gravity less than 1 will rise, while gases with a specific gravity greater than 1 will sink and seek regions of low elevation.
