Star Delta Configuration

The most commonly used method for the starting of a three-phase induction motor. In star delta starting, an induction motor is initially connected using a star connection. Then, once the motor reaches the required speed, the motor is connected in through a delta connection. The delta configuration has the three phases connected like a triangle, whereas the star configuration has all three loads connected at a single neutral point “N.”
