Variable Speed Motor

An electric motor driven by a variable frequency drive (VFD) that allows a pump or compressor to operate over a wide range of speeds. Motor/VFD combinations are used whenever it has been determined that operating a pump or compressor at varying speeds can significantly improve operability or the overall system efficiency.
