American Society Of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)

An American professional association, founded in 1880, which is an engineering society, a standards organization, a research and development organization, an advocacy organization, a provider of training and education, and a nonprofit organization. It was originally founded as an engineering society to focus on mechanical engineering in North America but is now a multidisciplinary and global organization.
