ASME Section VIII

The section of the American Society Of Mechanical Engineers Boiler And Pressure Vessel Code (BPVC) that covers the requirements for the design, fabrication, testing, inspection, and certification of both fired and unfired pressure vessels. This section of the code specifically refers to pressure vessels operating at pressures, either internal or external, greater than 15 psig (1.03 bar). At the time of printing, the latest edition was published on July 1, 2015.
