BEP

The abbreviation for Best Efficiency Point. The point where the fluid power coming out of the pump (water horsepower) or compressor (gas horsepower) is the closest to the power going into the pump or compressor (brake horsepower) from the driver. This is usually the point of lowest vibration, pressure pulsations, and fluid forces acting on the rotor and impeller(s).
