Compression Ratio (Internal Combustion Engine)

The ratio of the volume of its combustion chamber from its largest capacity to its smallest capacity. The ratio is calculated using the following equation:

where b is cylinder bore (diameter); s is piston stroke length; and V_c is clearance volume.
