Entropy

A thermodynamic quantity representing the unavailability of a system’s thermal energy for conversion into mechanical work; a measure of a system’s disorder; a thermodynamic quantity, usually expressed as “S,” with the equation:

dS = dQ/T

where Q is the amount of heat entering or leaving the system at absolute temperature, T.
