Fault Tree

A type of logic diagram, representing a series of possible initial, intermediate, and final events, used by reliability professionals to explore how a system could fail or most likely failed. The goal of a fault tree analysis is to identify potential problems or likely root causes so corrective measures can be implemented, and a given event does not occur in the future.
