Monorail Lifting System

A Trolley And Hoist Hanging Off A Monorail

A type of lifting assembly used to lift large or heavy items and move them easily around a shop. Typically, the hoist and trolley run on a single stationary beam, called a monorail. This arrangement allows two axes of hook movement: up/down and forward/backward along the monorail beam. Monorails can be driven manually or powered. Power-operated overhead monorail systems are typically powered by air, hydraulics, or electricity.
