Orthogonal Probe

A shaft orbit can be created by combining the outputs from two proximity probes installed 90 degrees from one another.

A vibration sensing arrangement where proximity probes are installed 90 degrees from one another to monitor rotor vibrations and produce rotor vibration orbits for analysis purposes.

Also known as X-Y Probe.
