Rankine Cycle

Ideal Rankine Cycle Diagram

An idealized heat-engine thermodynamic cycle that converts heat into mechanical work by using a working fluid undergoing phase changes. In an idealized cycle, frictional losses in each of the four components are neglected. The heat is supplied via a boiler, which typically uses water as the working fluid.
