Real-Time Analyzer

An analyzer that uses digital signal processing and fast Fourier transform to display frequency components of a rapidly fluctuating input signal. It is used to analyze vibration, dynamic pressure, and dynamics strain waveforms. Real-time analyzers also display the time domain and phase spectrum and can usually be interfaced to a computer.
