Small Bore Piping
The auxiliary piping around a rotating machine comprised of smaller pipe, often less than 1 in. (25.4 mm) in diameter. This smaller piping is often ignored by the piping designers and therefore tends to vibrate around reciprocating machinery due to the lack of sufficient support. Vent lines, pressure gauges, and pressure relief valve vents are some common locations where small bore piping can be found around rotating machinery.
