Steam Turbine Governor

A speed-controlling system used on steam turbines. The turbine speed is controlled by varying the steam flow by positioning the governor valve. Variations in the power required by the driven machine and changes in steam inlet or exhaust conditions alter the speed of the turbine, causing the governor system to respond to correct the operating speed.
