Strobe Light

A device used to produce regular flashes of light at a selected frequency. Strobe lights are often used to determine the operational speed of a rotating machine or used as a machinery analysis tool. For example, they can be used to perform visual inspections to detect belt damage (slippage, wear, etc.), coupling damage, or identify loose components while a machine is still running.
