Centrifugal Pump,  V

Vertical Turbine Pump

Multistage vertical turbine pump installed inside a pressure containment “can” to reduce the pump’s suction head requirements.

A single-stage or multistage, centrifugal pump designed to pump liquids out of a pit, such as cooling tower basin, or an underground reservoir. The pump assembly normally consists of a suction bell, impellers, a vertical line shaft, flanged bowls, a pipe column, and sleeve type, line-shaft bearings. Liquid enters the suction bell, which must be fully submerged in a pit or reservoir, and exits the discharge nozzle, which is normally found above grade but can be located below grade if required.
