Wet Screw Compressor
Another name for a “flooded,” “oil-flooded,” or “oil-injected” rotary screw compressor. In a wet screw compressor, lubricating oil bridges the space between the rotors, provides a hydraulic seal, and allows the safe transfer of torque between the driving and driven rotor. Any separating liquid circulating in the compression space will make it a wet screw compressor.
