Barrel Pump
A multistage, centrifugal pump where the rotor is enclosed by a vertically split casing, resembling a barrel, and fitted with a suction and discharge nozzle. The pump is designed to be dismantled without having to remove the barrel casing from the piping and pump foundation. In the case of extremely high-pressure pumping applications, the barrel casing is often welded to the pipeline.
